Solaira ICR Series Electric Heaters
Solaira's high efficiency, high performance wall, ceiling and recess outdoor infrared patio heater.
Solaira ICR Series radiant patio heaters produce light filtered, short-wave infrared heat, with conversion of over 86% of energy into instant, controllable, directional heat. Virtually unaffected by air current or breezes, radiant heat warms people and objects, not the surrounding air. The ICR Series heaters can be recess (flush mounted), ceiling or wall mounted with low ceiling clearances. Available in RAL9006 Black or RAL9002 White or any custom color to suit our architectural needs.
Integrated Mounting Options
The Solaira ICR Series infrared heater provides you with a variety of mounting options. Ceiling recess heater installation has long been a favorite option among designers, architects and engineers working on today’s most design forward commercial and residential properties. With the smallest recessed box dimensions in the industry, installing heaters in ceiling recess maintains a clean, integrated look. The ability to wall mount or direct ceiling mount are also available, providing greater design flexibility to optimize heater coverage area. ICR heaters and matching trim kits are available in RAL9005 Black, RAL9002 White or custom color to suit.

High Performance, High Efficiency Radiant Heat

Comfortable Radiant Heat and the Halogen Cycle
Solaira S-Wave, filtered, low glare quartz halogen emitters lamps consist of a tungsten filament heated by the passage of an electric current to a temperature of 2400º Kelvin (3800°F). At this temperature, most of the output (emission) is in the short wave infra-red band (1.2 microns) providing low glare, directional, radiant heat. As with all tungsten filament lamps, the tungsten will evaporate in time and deposit itself on the wall of the lamp. To prevent this undesirable effect a small amount of halogen gas is added to the envelope of the emitter lamp and hence a process of re-composition takes place as the tungsten evaporates it will combine with the halogen gas to form tungsten halide and so prevent the tungsten being deposited on the wall of the lamp. The tungsten halide will recombine with the filament releasing the halogen and re-depositing the tungsten on the filament. This process is a continuous one and is known as the halogen cycle giving our Solaira Emitters an estimate 5000 hr life with performance.
