Sunpak Patio Heaters

Commercial-grade infrared gas heat for patios, restaurants and outdoor living spaces.

Sunpak infrared patio heaters deliver powerful, sun-like radiant warmth that heats people and surfaces directly, not the air around them. Built for natural gas or liquid propane, Sunpak heaters have been a trusted choice for restaurant patios, hotels, outdoor bars and high-end homes for decades, thanks to their rugged construction, clean low-profile design and dependable output.

Our Sunpak selection includes the 25,000 BTU S25 and 34,000 BTU S34 heaters, plus two-stage TSH and TSR models that let you switch between high and low heat. Choose from black or stainless steel finishes, and complete your installation with Sunpak front fascia kits and wireless wall timers.

How Sunpak Infrared Heaters Work

Sunpak heaters use a gas-fired infrared burner to produce radiant heat, the same way the sun warms you on a cool day. Instead of trying to heat the open air, the infrared energy warms the people, tables and floors in its path, so guests feel comfortable quickly and the heat holds up better on breezy nights than traditional mushroom-style heaters.

Sizing Guide: Which Sunpak BTU Do You Need?

  • Sunpak S25 (25,000 BTU) – heats approximately 100 sq. ft. (about 10 ft x 10 ft). Ideal for smaller patios, single tables and lower mounting heights.
  • Sunpak S34 (34,000 BTU) – heats approximately 144 sq. ft. (about 12 ft x 12 ft). Our most popular size for residential patios and restaurant seating.
  • Sunpak S34 TSH / TSR (25,000–34,000 BTU, two-stage) – heats about 12 ft x 12 ft on high and 10 ft x 10 ft on low, so you can adjust output to the weather.

Actual coverage depends on mounting height, tilt angle, wind and outdoor temperature. Larger spaces typically use multiple heaters spaced along the seating area. Our team can help you plan the right layout before you order.

Sunpak Models & Control Options

  • S Series (S25 & S34) – Sunpak's classic single-stage infrared heaters, available in black or stainless steel.
  • TSH Series – Two-stage S34 heaters with a hardwired Sunpak duplex wall switch for simple ON/OFF/HIGH/LOW control.
  • TSR Series – Two-stage S34 heaters with remote control, so you can change heat settings without getting up.

A Note for Contractors & Spec'ers

Sunpak heaters mount to walls or ceilings, with typical horizontal mounting heights of 8 to 9 feet (7 to 8 feet when angled at 30°). Two-stage TSH models use direct spark ignition with automatic re-light and a flame sensor, and include a 24V transformer and duplex switch. All installations should follow the clearances to combustibles in the Sunpak installation manual and local gas codes, and be completed by a licensed gas installer. Spec sheets and manuals are available on each product page, and we offer trade and volume pricing for commercial projects.
